Adobe

After some false starts- especially after installing Leopard OSX, I finally retrieved the Adobe CS3 apps. I discovered a really cool feature of Photoshop: brushes. It allows you to put in pre-made shapes with the color, shading, opacity, and any other effects you wish, on your design.

Before the brushes, I was limited to the boring simplicity of creating artworks with my inadequate drawing skills on a computer and copying/pasting pictures I found on the web. Not anymore.

Many of the brushes are free for download but be careful, they do have copyrights, meaning you cannot peddle the artworks you made with other people’s brushes. If it is for your personal use, enjoy them!

Here are the links to my favorite websites that have free brushes downloading:

Once you downloaded the brushes, add them into your PS brushes file and start up the program. I have too many brushes right now and not all of them are good. But like packrats, I am keeping them in case of a rainy day or whatnot.
